The Cartier Tank Basculante mécanique ref. 2390 is one of the more desirable Basculante references, being a "jumbo" model whilst featuring a Piaget-base manual wind movement and guilloché dial. An elegant steel reversible watch for both men and women and a great example of an iconic Cartier model that can be worn everyday if desired.

The overall condition is very good, with a clean reverse side. The strap and pin buckle are generic, and not signed Cartier.

The Tank Basculante was first introduced in 1932, shortly after the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, at a time when distinguished gentleman needed a watch that could be protected during activities like playing polo. The Basculante features a reversing case mechanism similar to the JLC Reverso.
