This Salvador Dalí Softwatch by Demart is inspired by Dali's painting "The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory", and features a surrealist case design with Cartier-esque exploded Roman numerals to the dial. The Softwatch was first launched in 1990 and were made for a relatively short period, with Exaequo eventually being closed down in 1998 owing to a lack of permission to use Salvador Dalí's name on the watches. Softwatches have become a cult collectable watch given their unique design and history, and also offering a Cartier Crash-inspired look for less than 1% of the price.

This particular watch is a lesser-seen Demart example, featuring a different but very attractive case design to the typical Exaequo-branded pieces on the market. There were far fewer of these produced in comparison and as such do not come up for sale so often. The watch features a matte black dial with silvered numerals and the trademark Salvador Dalí signature to the dial and case back. It is twinned to its original black leather strap and pin buckle.

This watch is in good condition overall and is ready to strap to the wrist and enjoy. The dial is in excellent condition. The case is in good condition, with some light and small scratches commensurate with age and use. The strap shows some signs of wear but is very useable and wearable. The glass is free of marks.
