Alex's Comments: This watch forms part of the "Dirty Dozen" - twelve Swiss brands contracted to supply watches to the British Army, which began being issued in early 1945. These "WWW" watches as they are known (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof), were the first to be specifically designed and produced for the British Army and have thus become highly collectable and sought-after. Only around 5,000 Lemania examples were supplied and as such, being both scarce and collectable, good examples like this one are becoming harder to find. Furthermore, very few examples carry the rare NATO dial like this one, fitted by the R.E.M.E (Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers). The dial and hands are in excellent condition, as is the case. A top-grade example of a hard to find Dirty Dozen variant.
