Alex's Comments: This watch forms part of the "Dirty Dozen" - twelve Swiss brands contracted to supply watches to the British Army, which began being issued in early 1945. These "WWW" watches as they are known (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof), were the first to be specifically designed and produced for the British Army and have thus become highly collectable and sought-after. Only around 25,000 Omega examples were supplied and as such, being both scarce and collectable, good examples like this one are becoming harder to find. And if you're looking for an Omega Dirty Dozen,
you will be hard pushed to find a better example than this – it's quite exceptional. The star of the show is its pristine dial and handset with very attractive luminous, supported by a great case too. One rarely sees examples so well preserved as this. Overall, a top-grade collector's example of one of the best Dirty Dozens.
