Softwatch by Exaequo Salvador Dalí Surrealist Watch
Softwatch by Exaequo Salvador Dalí Surrealist Watch
This Salvador Dalí Softwatch by Exaequo is inspired by Dali's painting "The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory", and features a surrealist case design with Cartier-esque exploded Roman numerals to the dial. The Softwatch was first launched in 1990 and were made for a relatively short period, with Exaequo eventually being closed down in 1998 owing to a lack of permission to use Salvador Dalí's name on the watches. Softwatches have become a cult collectable watch given their unique design and history, and also offering a Cartier Crash-inspired look for less than 1% of the price.
This wearable example is in good condition, with an attractive brushed silver dial in very good condition. The steel case has some surface scratches as appropriate with age and use, and some discolouration to the inner edge of the mineral glass along with a few light marks to the surface.
It comes with its original Softwatch by Exaequo pin buckle on an unsigned green leather strap.
